Endure the Stars - Co-operative Miniature Board game
“The human race has begun to explore the stars, and the frontier is everywhere. We thought ourselves Gods….that life was ours to manufacture….but all we did is bring ruin upon ourselves…now we’re hunted by the very things we gave life to, prisoners on our own ship. We must survive….we must endure the stars…
Endure the Stars is an epic Sci Fi adventure board game for 1-6 players set on the exploratory spaceship the N.W.E Hikari. Take on the role of one of the surviving crew, battling to stay alive on a once thriving ship now in ruin. The GEPS, genetic experiments that were being developed to explore the Hikari’s destination planet, have escaped and now run rampant.
Play from a selection of 12 exciting missions, either as standalone experiences or campaigns with multiple paths, in a struggle to keep the last surviving humans aboard alive. The enemy GEPs are controlled by the game itself using simple, easy to understand dice mechanics and are represented as radar tokens until you finally lay eyes on them, so you’re never truly sure what lurks in the deserted halls of a ship that is now your prison. Find weapons, armour and useful items as you explore the derelict halls, but always be aware that the ship is in a constant state of decay and is prone to malfunction. Lockdowns, blackouts and gravity failures are but a few of the potential disasters ahead. Even the sanity of your fellow survivors may prove your downfall. An epic fight for survival awaits you! Will you be able to endure the stars?“ Intro from Grimlord Games website.

Medic, KS exclusive Geneticist and Sip Sentry Robot
Survivors
And the Medic! By sheer coincidence more or less the same colours as the Sip!
The Technician! I absolutely love this mini! Really cool Cyborg.
The KS exclusive Geneticist! I followed the artwork and proved that I can paint other colours...
Enemies
First painted mini from the KS - the Sip Sentry robot. I loved the design right from the start, so consequently it is the 1st mini I paint. Removing the inevitable mold lines is a bit of a pain, but more or less the same amount as Black Plague.
The Primus - a GEP Boss. The Rhino like hide was begging to be dry brushed. A real fast and efficient paint job done in under 1 h. Dry brushing dark grey, light grey and some Sand colour. Then the orange and some inks.
Basic GEP Critter - the Swarmer. Since there are 30 in the game box I looked for a fast way to paint them. So a beige primer, after that a mixture of flesh and brown shade and the skin parts are done. While wet I mixed in some black on the head and primed the metal parts in matt black. Then leadbelcher metal and a black wash, some metal highlights and the blueish lights, again done under 1h. For extra protection I went for a glossy varnish, only the rim of the base received some matt black to be in lien with the rest of the minis. The gloss on the skin works really well for me.
More EPS - a Jaeger and a Solomon. I really like the Solomon design - do not get me wrong wrong I like all EtS minis, but the Solomon is particularly menacing and alien looking to me. Painting was done as above described.
Comparison
And before everyone asks, here is the always helpful comparison pic:
