X-Wing is one of the games based on the SW license by Fantasy Flight games. The game hit the SF fighter combat scene in 2013 with great success, many expansion “waves” are already out and more is on the horizon.

I chimed in late, but so far I like the game and the models. Some of the best pre paints around! But that did not stop me to add an additional lick of paint here and there...
So here is my first repaint: Luke’s X-Wing and an after market E-Wing.
If you are asking what an E-Wing is... See here. Quote from the Wiki: “The E-Wing escort starfighter was a single-pilot starfighter developed by FreiTek Inc. It was the first fighter designed entirely under the support of the New Republic. As designed, the E-Wing was intended to match, or exceed, the performance of the preceding X-Wing series in nearly every respect, and was originally intended to replace the older design in New Republic service. However, the craft suffered from some significant problems when first deployed among front-line squadrons, including malfunction issues with the laser cannons and the new R7 astromech units. As a result, many pilots continued to fly upgraded versions of the venerable X-wing.”

The X-Wing was painted on top of the already fine pre paint. The E-Wing was harder! The model design is absolute superb. However, the material Shapeways is still using is BAD. It is soft, seems to soak up the colour and has a lot of rough spots, and that using the Frosted Ultra Detail material. However the overall result after being painted is still OK IMO.
A B-Wing repaint. I magnetised the base, cut the cockpit and rotated it to correctly fit the shown flight position. Great little model!
Just two simple repaints of the A-Wing models, left one from the expansion box, the right one from the Rebels Aces box.

Inferno Squad TIEs and a TIE/D Defender
Inferno Squad, also known as Inferno Squadron, was commissioned after the Alliance to Restore the Republic scored its first major victory when they stole the plans to the Death Star during the Battle of Scarif, and ultimately destroyed the battle station during the Battle of Yavin in 0 BBY. Inferno Squad, consisting of Captain Iden Versio and agents Gideon Hask, Seyn Marana and Del Meeko, were tasked with infiltrating and ultimately destroying the Partisans, an extremist group that was led by resistance fighter Saw Gerrera before his death.
The TIE/D Defender, commonly known as the TIE Defender or T/D, was a high-performance TIE Series starfighter developed for the Imperial Navy by Sienar Fleet Systems in a project overseen by Grand Admiral Demetrius Zaarin shortly before the Battle of Endor. Representing a shift in starfighter design from previous TIE models, the ship featured a hyperdrive as well as deflector shields to allow it to operate independently of Imperial capital ships. The ship's speed and agility, combined with its arsenal of four laser cannons, two ion cannons, two warhead launchers and an optional tractor beam projector made it arguably the most advanced starfighter available at the time.
Two Ties and one Tie Interceptor, nothing fancy here, just clean repaints.
A Tie, a Tie Interceptor and an after market Tie Drone in frosted detail.
The TIE/D automated fighter, or droid/drone TIE fighter, was a TIE series starfighter used by the reborn Emperor Palpatine during his attacks on the New Republic in 10 ABY.

Slave-1 - the famous ship of the the equally infamous Boba Fett. Another great and highly detailed mini! I could not resist the temptation to also paint the Armada version, which is also very good for it’s tiny size.
Group shot of Prince Xizor’s fleet. Both Xizor’s and Guri’s ships are as clean and well maintained as it gets, while the two Hutt fighters have a more used look.
Prince Xizor’s Star Viper “Virago” - The Star Viper-class attack platform was a heavy starfighter that was based on Prince Xizor's Virago, and was used extensively in the criminal underworld during the era of the Galactic Empire.
Guri’s Star Viper
M3-A Scyk Interceptor, a more serious repaint on both fighters. The M3-A Scyk fighter was a light interceptor, the lightest of all the starfighter designs produced by its Mandalorian manufacturer, MandalMotors. It was named after the Scyk lizard of Tatooine.
I wanted a lighter but still “huttish” look.
Kihraxz Fighter, again a more serious repaint fitting the two Scyk fighters.
Episode VII - IX
Official Fantasy Flight T-70 X-Wing. Repainted as Poe Dameron’s Black One X-Wing. The Black One was a T-70 X-wing fighter that was used by Resistance pilot Poe Dameron. Dameron's call sign of Black Leader was derived from this X-wing; he was not the leader of a Black Squadron. Dameron was always accompanied by his trusty co-pilot, spherical astromech droid BB-8. Dameron notably used Black One during the Battle of Starkiller Base, where he used it to destroy the First Order's superweapon, Starkiller Base.

Keen observers have noticed the design differences of the Falcon and the X-Wing designs that are shown in the two Episode VII trailers. Even keener modellers have already created X-Wing models for them!
Shown below is the Incom T-70 X-Wing of Episode VII by Mels Minis. The T-70 X-wing fighter was a modern variation of the classic design X-wing starfighter used by the Resistance in their fight against the First Order, 30 years after the Battle of Endor.

The First Order Stormtrooper Transport is one of the very first vessel in the 7th Star Wars movie. The First Order’s stormtrooper transports – formally known as Atmospheric Assault Landers - AALs – are designed for the speedy delivery of up to 20 stormtroopers to the battlefield for ground operations. A pilot guides the transport to its drop zone from an elevated cockpit, while a gunner protects the no-frills 18m craft during its final approach.
The die cast model is the “Star Wars: The Force Awakens Black Series Titanium First Order Transporter“. It is not exactly 1/270 but fits X-Wing nice enough.
You can use the Transport perfectly for the “Mission 1: Political Escort” of the X-Wing Core Set. Use it as the shuttle and protect it with some TIEs!
Episode VIII - The Last Jedi
Official FFG TIE silencer. Repainted as Kylo Ren’s.
The TIE/vn space superiority fighter, also known as the TIE silencer, was an angular variant of the TIE line starfighters used by the First Order. A product of Sienar-Jaemus Fleet Systems, its aggressive design and equally impressive firepower was specifically crafted for use among the most elite members of the First Order. As such, the fighter was engineered for speed and handling, though lesser pilots were still often overwhelmed and unable to maintain control of the nimble ship.
The pedigree of the TIE silencer traced back to the Galactic Empire's TIE/D Defender, a hybrid fighter-bomber that never saw widespread use in the Galactic Civil War. The ship was revived by First Order technicians who saw it as a versatile attack craft to throw at New Republic forces. The TIE/sf space superiority fighter was an early attempt to bring heavier weapons to the battlefield along with the next-generation power capabilities needed to support them—improvements later incorporated into the silencer. It featured other design similarities to the Empire's TIE/IN interceptor and TIE Advanced x1.
Kylo Ren utilized his own TIE silencer. His detailed post-flight reports allowed Sienar-Jaemus techs to refine the onboard systems, with an eye towards the day when shipyards were to begin mass-producing silencers for the regime's frontline units.
