Marvel United - Will the Heroes Prevail Against Nefarious Supervillains?“Red Skull, Ultron, and Taskmaster are attacking the city, each with their own evil scheme for destruction and domination. To stop them, superheroes like Captain America, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel are joining forces. In the end, will the combined efforts of these heroes be enough to save the world? That is the small intro from CMON’s site. I backed the KS, and not, and then again. Honestly there was no KS before where I changed my mind so often. I am a big Superhero fan, be it Marvel, DC or independent work. BUT - I really DISLIKE cute chibis... So it was tough for me to stick with the KS, in the end I went all in ... Anyway - I was positively surprised! The rules are simple enough but also have enough depth for my taste. The minis are GREAT (for chibis) and are fun to paint. I started with Rocket and Kroot, not my best paint job but very fast, IIRC both in around 1h. So expect more super cute minis from me... SIGH! Marvel United Heroes

Fantastic Four Expansion
Fantastic Four – Marvel’s First Family The Fantastic Four are a team of superheroes formed after a space mission gone wrong. Scientist Reed Richards, pilot Ben Grimm, and siblings Sue and Johnny Storm were exposed to cosmic radiation, which granted them unique powers:
Based in the Baxter Building in New York City, they operate more like a family than a typical superhero team. Their adventures blend science fiction, space exploration, and battles against threats like Doctor Doom, Galactus, and the Skrulls. As Marvel’s first superhero team, they helped launch the Marvel Universe as we know it.
Enemies of the Fantastic Four
Mole Man (Harvey Rupert Elder) - Originally a brilliant but socially shunned scientist, Harvey Elder was mocked for his appearance and theories. Driven underground by rejection, he discovered the realm of Subterranea and became ruler of its monstrous inhabitants. As the Mole Man, he sees surface-dwellers as enemies and frequently launches attacks from below, often targeting the Fantastic Four who were among the first to oppose him. Doctor Doom (Victor Von Doom) - Victor is a genius inventor and sorcerer from Latveria, where he rules as a tyrant. Scarred in a lab accident (which he blames on Reed Richards), Doom wears a suit of armor and a fearsome mask. He combines science and dark magic to pursue ultimate power and frequently tries to prove his superiority over Reed. Though a villain, Doom operates with his own code of honor and often walks the line between antagonist and anti-hero. Silver Surfer (Norrin Radd) - The most famous herald of Galactus. A noble scientist from the planet Zenn-La, he volunteered to serve Galactus to save his world. Over time, he regained his conscience and rebelled against his master, becoming a hero. Super-Skrull (Kl’rt) - A warrior of the shape-shifting alien Skrull Empire, Kl’rt was enhanced to become the Super-Skrull - granting him all the powers of the Fantastic Four (stretching, invisibility, strength, and flame control) to combat them. He was created as a weapon of vengeance after the Skrulls were defeated by the Fantastic Four in earlier battles. Kl’rt remains a dangerous and persistent foe, driven by loyalty to the Skrull Empire and a desire to reclaim his honor.
The Heralds of Galactus are powerful cosmic beings chosen by Galactus, the Devourer of Worlds, to seek out planets for him to consume. In exchange, Galactus grants them a portion of the Power Cosmic, greatly enhancing their abilities. Each herald has their own origin story, motivations, and relationship with Galactus. Terrax the Tamer (Tyros): A tyrannical ruler transformed by Galactus. Unlike the Surfer, he served out of ambition and fear rather than honor. He often clashed with Galactus due to his violent nature. Firelord (Pyreus Kril): A former Xandarian and friend of another herald, Gabriel the Air-Walker. After Gabriel's death, Firelord took up his mantle. He eventually earned his freedom and continued to fight for justice. Air-Walker (Gabriel Lan): A noble Nova Corps officer turned herald. After his death, Galactus tried to preserve him as an android, but the replica lacked Gabriel’s soul. Nova (Frankie Raye): A human with flame powers who became a herald out of idealism. She had a romantic connection with the Silver Surfer and tried to temper Galactus's destruction.
Galactus is one of the most powerful cosmic entities in the Marvel Universe. Once a mortal being named Galan from the universe that existed before the Big Bang, he survived its destruction and was reborn in the new universe as Galactus. His existence is cosmic balance—he must consume the life force of entire planets to sustain himself. Galactus is not inherently evil; he sees himself as a force of nature, like a cosmic storm or death itself. To find suitable worlds to feed on, he often appoints Heralds—powerful beings granted a portion of the Power Cosmic to scout planets on his behalf (e.g., Silver Surfer, Terrax, Nova). Though feared across the galaxy, Galactus also plays a complex role in the Marvel cosmos. His presence maintains balance between cosmic forces, and some believe his existence is essential to the universe’s evolution.
